Karina is a bilingual licensed clinical social worker that has experience working with all age groups in a variety of clinical settings. Karina’s approach to therapy is collaborative and empathic. Karina utilizes a strengths based approach to work in partnership with clients to teach skills that help decrease their symptoms while increasing their ability to manage distress.

Karina utilizes treatment approaches of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP). Karina hopes to make therapy an empowering place for clients to change the way that they relate with themselves and others.

Karina can accept clients with the following insurance plans: BCBS PPO, Aetna, Humana, Optum, UBH / United Healthcare, PHCS, & Medicare. Karina can also accept all self-pay clients.

Counseling Works is here to support our communities through this time – We are currently accepting new clients, and for your safety and ours, we’re adjusting our scheduling to offer online therapy sessions to ensure we provide continuous service and support in the healthiest setting.
