Anna is a knowledgeable counselor who values the therapeutic relationship and considers her clients to be the experts of their own lives. Her background includes a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University, as well as Gottman Level 1 Training for Couples work and EMDR Training. Anna has experience working with trauma, life adjustments, anxiety, depression, trauma, and personality disorders. Anna is very passionate about providing support and care to first responders, law enforcement officers, veterans, and their families. Anna’s training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy makes her a great fit for anyone who has experienced trauma in their life.
Currently, Anna is open to accepting clients who are 10 – 55 years of age, and works with pre-teens, teens, adults, couples, families, and first responders. Her therapeutic approaches include EMDR, strengths-based cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, narrative therapy and Rogerian/client-centered/humanistic. She believes that, as a clinician, she is there to help her clients heal, find effective solutions to their problems, and provide support throughout the therapeutic relationship.
In her practice, Anna is very collaborative and approachable and remains flexible with her clients. She has a friendly and energized demeanor and works to provide an environment of equality in her sessions through attentiveness. Her goal is to create a very positive and effective therapeutic relationship. Anna is open to accepting new clients, including self-pay and those with BCBS insurance.
