Sara is a licensed clinical social worker who has experience working with diverse populations ranging from children and teens to adults and families in a variety of clinical settings.

Sara’s style is compassionate, direct, and engaging. She is a strong believer in building on strengths and inner resources, treating the person as a whole, and providing a therapeutic relationship that is warm, encouraging, and nonjudgmental.

Using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness, Sara helps her clients to reframe thoughts, feelings, and actions to be more manageable, working with clients to handle life stressors. She believes in the power of therapy to create meaningful change in a person’s life. Her goal is to provide a partnership with clients where emotional safety is honored and honesty and openness is valued.

Sara can accept clients with the following insurance plans: BCBS PPO, Aetna, Humana, Optum, UBH / United Healthcare, PHCS, & Medicare. Sara can also accept all self-pay clients.

If you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, or an increased sense of overwhelm during this time, know that you’re not alone. Counseling Works is here to support our communities through this time – We are currently accepting new clients, and for your safety and ours, we’re adjusting our scheduling to offer online therapy sessions to ensure we provide continuous service and support in the healthiest setting.
