Wheaton Therapist

Life is filled with ups and downs. When you aren’t prepared to handle a quickly changing life, everything appears so much harder. Counseling Works is here to help no matter how life challenges you. Speaking with one of our Wheaton therapists opens all sorts of doors. We’ll walk with you down a path to healing, introducing cognitive tools to help you along the way.

Why Choose Our Wheaton Therapist?

Finding a therapist is often a vulnerable task—and finding the perfect therapist may seem impossible. After all, a therapist is someone who listens to your most personal thoughts and feelings. It’s a relationship that requires trust, comfort, and respect between both individuals.

Here at Counseling Works, our therapists to everything in their power to make you feel at ease. We want you to feel as though you can depend on us no matter what happens in your life. That’s what makes us stand out among other counseling centers: our dedication to you, not just as our client, but as an individual.

Your needs are unique. With this in mind, our counselors help you overcome many different obstacles:

  • Anxiety and depression: Our therapists work with individuals facing various mental conditions, including anxiety and depression.
  • Relationship problems: Relationships are complicated. A therapist provides a fresh perspective on you and your partner’s relationship, showing you ways to improve your bond and overcome hurdles.
  • Postpartum counseling: Whether you’re experiencing postpartum depression or having trouble adjusting to your new life as a mom, our therapists will listen to your concerns.
  • Eating disorders: We help individuals who are struggling with an eating disorder such as anorexia or bulimia. Our dietician will help you develop a dietary plan to get you on the road to recovery.
  • Trauma and PTSD: Trauma results from an extremely stressful or upsetting incident like military service. Over time, the trauma may develop into PTSD, making everyday living difficult.

No matter the size or shape of your battle, talking to our counselors is the first step towards healing. If you’re interested in our services, we encourage you to reach out to us. We’re happy to provide you with the information you need.

What to Expect at Counseling Works

Counseling Works believes that therapy should be accessible. Before you begin treatment, you will complete an intake appointment, where we will learn more about you. You’ll need to complete some paperwork and provide basic information about your symptoms, background, and goals. This serves as a way for us to plan a course of action that’s most effective.

Each of our counselors has different skillsets and is experienced in their own focus areas. For instance, we have specialists who work with teenagers and young adults, as well as therapists who have worked extensively with relationship-related matters. You can feel confident that you’ll get the care you need at our counseling center.
