Barb Spall, MS, LPC, helps teens, young adults, and adults who are feeling anxious, going through big life changes, or struggling in their relationships. She often works with clients coping with low self-esteem, divorce, or women’s issues, and focuses on helping them feel more confident and supported when life feels overwhelming. Barb provides individual and couples counseling at our Naperville and Lemont locations.
Barb earned her Master’s in Counseling from National-Louis University after completing her BA in Public Relations at Purdue University. She is also a licensed school counselor (PEL PK-22) and has experience working in a large suburban middle school, including over 700 internship hours and facilitating self-esteem groups for girls. Barb especially enjoys working with clients who feel disconnected from their true identity or uncertain about where life is headed. She helps them identify and lean into their strengths, even ones they may not realize they have, so they can take meaningful steps toward change. As she tells clients, “I have a 100% success rate of making it through everything in my life so far—the good and the bad—and I want to help you make it through too!”
Outside the therapy room, Barb loves spending time with her family, going to the movies, and catching Keith Urban and Kenny Chesney in concert. She’s also a big fan of walking outdoors, with her longest consecutive daily streak being 700 days!
