Meet our therapist, Laura Adler, who specializes in helping individuals ages 14 and up navigate a variety of mental health challenges. With a focus on treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+ issues, OCD, self-esteem/self-worth, and trauma/PTSD, Laura brings a compassionate and empowering approach to therapy.
As a vinyl collector and music lover she enjoys filling the air with tunes throughout the day. Additionally, she shares her home with two beloved cats who are often lavished with new toys. She loves creating art, whether it’s through coloring books or free-form painting.
Laura found her calling as a therapist through her own experience as a client. She recognized that therapy can be extremely beneficial when there’s a strong therapeutic relationship and a non-judgmental space to work in. While trusting that clients are the experts in their own lives, she values autonomy and empowerment and views all of the clients she works with as whole people, rather than just a diagnosis.
What sets her apart from other therapists is her experience working within the LGBTQ+ community and experience working with low-income individuals facing housing inequality. This work has helped her to understand how societal impacts can contribute to individual and community trauma.
With a focus on communication, building rapport, and creating a safe space, Laura is a therapist who believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship to bring about healing and positive change. Schedule with Laura today!
