Rebecca Hiltz, LCSW, was inspired to pursue therapy after working with incredible clinicians throughout her life. Providing sessions to individuals ranging from young adults, adults, and older adults, she has expertise in anxiety, depression, and stress management. She also supports patients experiencing life changes/adjustments, mood disorders, OCD, and peri-natal/ maternal mental health. Rebecca has her Master’s in Social Work from Aurora University.
During sessions, Rebecca uses modalities like:
“For a long time, I have felt a calling to help others,” Rebecca shares. Her approach to therapy is open, as she believes it is important to meet clients where they are at. Her biggest strength as a therapist is being nonjudgmental, demonstrating to clients who are new to pursuing therapy that they are in a safe space. When addressing concerns related to anxiety, she likes to help clients explore the root causes of their symptoms in order to work on alleviating them. She believes building coping skills can be a beneficial approach, especially with concerns of depression as well. Rebecca states: “I would love to be able to help someone else in the same way that I have received help when I needed it.”
If Rebecca could switch careers, she would be a kindergarten teacher. She has two cats named Caddy and Odin, and enjoys listening to heavy metal.
