Meet Anna, a member of our team who received her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Governors State University. She works with individuals ages 14+, specializing in ADD/ADHD, Life Changes/Adjustments, Self-Esteem/Self Worth, Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Issues, and Stress Management.
Anna believes in a collaborative process and helps her clients make positive changes. She utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Rogerian/Client-Centered/Humanistic Theory, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She sees her clients through an Adlerian lens, in that each individual is whole, goal oriented, and has purposeful behaviors. Through encouragement, goal setting, and a focus on personal responsibility, Anna helps her clients gain insight into their lifestyles and navigate toward a more fulfilling life.
Anna enjoys helping her clients to better understand their values, beliefs, and attitudes. This creates an atmosphere that fosters exploration of her clients’ life experiences, both past and present. She has a background in working with people with disabilities, eating disorders, and co-occurring disorders, and she looks forward to helping others find peace during life’s toughest moments.
In her free time, Anna loves spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors, and working out. She and her husband enjoy camping and hiking together. If she’s not outside or in a yoga class, Anna can be found catching up on all of her favorite reality TV shows on the couch.
