Alizah Qadri, MSW, LSW

She/Her/Hers

Location: Lemont, Naperville

Body Image, Perinatal / Maternal Mental Health, Women's Wellness/Issues

Whether grappling with cultural expectations, traditional roles, or systemic disparities, Alizah Qadri, LSW, deeply understands the unique challenges women face in all areas of life. She specializes in women’s issues, maternal mental health, and body image concerns, offering individual therapy to both young adults and adults. She also provides support for clients experiencing anxiety, depression, fertility challenges, and self-esteem struggles. Alizah holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work (BSW, MSW) and gained clinical experience during her training at Roots Work Therapy in Madison, Wisconsin.

As a South Asian woman, Alizah has helped clients explore and redefine their sense of womanhood in ways that are uplifting and empowering for the past two years of her practice. Offering sessions in both English and Hindi-Urdu, she utilizes a blend of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, strengths-based approaches, and mind-body connection work to create personalized care plans that address each client’s unique needs.

You are more than a list of mental health symptoms,” Alizah shares. Alizah’s goal is for people to take power back in their well-being, encouraging positive relationships with our bodies and minds through therapeutic tools and processing. Alizah believes that “our bodies are vessels to be loved” as “they give us strength to do powerful things every day,” expressing her focus and specialization in supporting women on a variety of issues including body image concerns and maternal mental health/postpartum. She has a great passion for providing therapy as she strongly believes that talking about your mental health has often been stigmatized or seen as a taboo topic to discuss in many communities. Her greatest strength is her ability for openness and inclusivity, striving to provide a safe and welcoming space for her clients to share their experiences without worry or judgment. Alizah shares that she will meet her clients where they are at as she is merely “here to walk the path with you.

Outside of her professional life, Alizah enjoys creative outlets like henna design, as well as exploring beauty, fashion, and lifestyle trends. Her clients will often see her henna on her hands during sessions!
