We are pleased to welcome Jeseca Johnson as a Counseling Associate to our practice. Jeseca offers individual therapy to teens and adults navigating ADD/ADHD, career development, and life changes. She also provides support with anxiety, depression, self-esteem/self-worth, and stress management. Jeseca earned her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University and is currently in her CACREP-accredited graduate program.
Jeseca approaches therapy in a client-centered, holistic way, with attention to each client’s unique life experiences. Her value of honesty helps create a space where clients feel safe to express themselves, at their own pace and in pursuit of their goals. She incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness practices to help clients feel seen, heard, and supported.
With a background shaped by supporting others through major life changes and stress while raising a family, Jeseca understands how overwhelming these challenges can feel. She is dedicated to helping clients manage stress, gain mental clarity, and reframe the negative beliefs they may have internalized growing up.
Outside of sessions, Jeseca enjoys tending to her many houseplants (she’s had over 30 at once), recently learned how to swim, and shares her home with a beloved Yorkie. If she could try another career for a day, she’d choose being a tropical horticulturist.
