Nicolle Uribe, MA, works with adolescents, teens, young adults, adults, and older adults to navigate major life changes, manage trauma, and cope with depression. She also supports clients experiencing anxiety, grief, and relationship challenges, helping them find balance and confidence during stressful times. Nicolle provides individual, couples, and group counseling at our Naperville and Lemont locations.
Nicolle earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lewis University. During her graduate training, she completed one year of clinical experience in private practice settings, providing counseling for clients ages 12–65. In addition, Nicolle spent three years working in an emergency room as a Patient Access Representative, where she honed her communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and ability to remain grounded in high-stress situations. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and is preparing to take her counseling licensure exam.
She draws from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including:
Nicolle especially enjoys supporting clients who are carrying the weight of past trauma or struggling with depression. She focuses on creating a warm, culturally-sensitive environment where clients can feel safe to explore their experiences and start rebuilding hope. She reminds clients, “Even when things feel overwhelming, there is a path forward—and together we can find it.”
Outside of the therapy room, Nicolle has a long-standing passion for Tae-Kwon-Do, earning her black belt after 11 years of practice, a journey that taught her discipline, perseverance, and goal-setting. If she could switch careers for a day, she’d love to try being a lawyer, intrigued by the strategy, communication, and problem-solving involved in the field.
