Erik is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He has extensive experience working in private practice and inpatient residential treatment centers. Erik has primarily worked with older teenagers and adults with several varying types of mental health issues. He is very passionate about helping individuals manage and overcome their addictions whether they are substance addictions or other addictions. Erik also specializes in treatment of depression, anxiety, anger management, and eating disorders.

Erik has a warm and empathic disposition that helps him form healthy therapeutic relationships with his clients. He believes that in order for therapy to work, the client and therapist must first build a trusting relationship where the client can feel comfortable to open up and discuss their concerns. Erik also believes it’s important to empower every client so they can learn how to take control of their lives and live the meaningful life that each person desires.

Erik uses a variety of therapeutic modalities depending on the needs of each individual client. He is experienced in the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Erik can accept clients with the following insurance plans: BCBS PPO, Optum/UBH, & Aetna. Erik can also accept all self-pay clients.
