Meet Madison, a member of our Counseling Associates team who specializes in working with individuals and couples ages 14-40, with a passion for connecting with young adults. Madison is earning her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University and is extremely dedicated and driven to further her passion and skill set. With a focus on anxiety, stress management, ADD/ADHD, depression, grief/bereavement/loss, life changes/adjustments, mood disorders, relationship issues, self-esteem/self-worth, trauma/PTSD, and women’s issues, Madison is eager to help clients find their way to a life of growth, healing, and positive change.
Mental health awareness and treatment is needed now more than ever, and Madison has developed a deep appreciation and passion for mental health through her own life experiences. This allows her to be an empathetic, effective, and transformative therapist. Through active listening and empathy, she can resonate with and understand the emotions others feel. Madison uses a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which addresses the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and Psychodynamic Therapy which focuses on how a client’s past has impacted their current presenting concerns.
Madison knew she wanted to be on a career path where she was truly making an impact on people’s lives, and mental health awareness and treatment has always been a passion of hers. When not seeing clients, Madison enjoys the outdoors, long walks, yoga, hanging out with friends, meditating, reading, watching her favorite TV show, and traveling. She is also passionate about social justice/human rights and is a huge animal lover.
