Nicolle Uribe, MA

She/Her

Location: Lemont, Naperville

Depression, Life Changes / Adjustments, Trauma / PTSD

Life doesn’t always give you a warning before it changes everything. A loss. A diagnosis. A relationship in crisis. A weight from your past that you’ve been carrying quietly for far too long. When things feel overwhelming, it’s easy to believe there’s no way through it — but there is, and you don’t have to find it alone.

Nicolle Uribe offers sessions in both English and Spanish, helping clients feel truly understood through her bilingual sessions. She has spent her career learning how to stay grounded when everything around her feels overwhelming – first in the emergency room, where she spent three years supporting patients in some of their most stressful moments, and now as a therapist. That experience shaped how she shows up for clients: steady, culturally attuned, and genuinely present, even in the hardest conversations.

Nicolle works with adolescents, teens, young adults, adults, and older adults, offering individual, couples, and group counseling at the Naperville and Lemont locations. She supports clients navigating trauma/PTSD, depression, and major life transitions. She also specializes in anxiety, grief, and relationship challenges – helping clients move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling steady again.

Nicolle holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lewis University, and brings a toolkit built specifically around helping you move forward: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to untangle unhelpful thought patterns, Motivational Interviewing to help you find your own pace and confidence, Solution-Focused and Client-Centered approaches that highlight your existing strengths, and mindfulness and grounding techniques to help regulate your nervous system when things feel like too much.

Nicolle has a particular passion for working with clients carrying past trauma or depression. Her goal is simple: create a space warm and safe enough that you can finally exhale, look honestly at what you’re carrying, and start rebuilding hope.

“Even when things feel overwhelming, there is a path forward – and together we can find it,” she says.

Outside of session, Nicolle holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, earned after 11 years of practice — a journey that taught her discipline, perseverance, and goal-setting. If she could try another career for a day, she’d choose law, drawn to the strategy and problem-solving involved.
