Meet Sierra, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Masters in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and four years of professional experience. She offers individual, couples, and family therapy for clients ages 14-64, addressing issues such as addiction, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and more. Sierra is also skilled in supporting first responders, the LGBTQIA+ community, and individuals facing life changes and social justice concerns. Sierra’s therapeutic approach is person-centered, emphasizing empathy and client strengths. She primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also incorporating Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT. Her adaptable techniques ensure a supportive and effective therapeutic experience, helping clients navigate their challenges and foster personal growth. Sierra’s passion for therapy stems from her innate ability to connect with others and a desire to help people achieve fulfillment. Inspired by the book “The Broken Brain” during college, she became fascinated with the interplay between human behavior, social environments, and biology. This drives her mission to help clients accept themselves and lead self-fulfilled lives. Sierra can also quote every episode of Friends, has twin dogs named Peyton and Arya (named after Game of Thrones characters) and she collects dream catchers from every state that she visits!
