She/Her

Location: Lemont, Naperville

Anxiety, LGBTQ+, Trauma / PTSD

Life has a way of leaving marks that aren’t always easy to explain — anxiety that shows up without warning, transitions that knock you off balance, or the quiet weight of experiences that were never fully acknowledged or understood. And if you’ve spent years feeling like you had to hide parts of yourself to feel accepted, you know how exhausting it is to move through the world that way. Finding a therapist who truly gets it – not just professionally, but personally – can make all the difference.

As a queer, LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, Charlotte brings both clinical expertise and lived experience to her work. She understands firsthand what it means to navigate identity, self-acceptance, and a world that doesn’t always make room for your full self. That’s not a footnote in her practice – it’s the foundation of it. Charlotte shows up authentically in every session so her clients feel safe to do the same, creating a space where LGBTQ+ individuals and couples can explore identity, process trauma, and heal without having to explain or justify who they are.

She works with young adults and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and co-occurring mental health concerns – including the unique stressors that come with LGBTQ+ experiences like coming out, family rejection, minority stress, and identity exploration. Charlotte provides individual and couples counseling at the Naperville and Lemont locations and holds a Master’s in Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with over two years of private practice experience.

Her toolkit includes EMDR for processing trauma that words alone can’t reach, alongside CBT, DBT, and mindfulness practices that help calm anxiety and build meaningful, lasting change. For clients whose experiences have been minimized or misunderstood – by others or by previous therapists – Charlotte’s trauma-informed approach offers something different: a space where your full story is not only welcome, but central to the work.

At the heart of Charlotte’s approach is the belief that healing starts with a relationship — one built on trust, empathy, and genuine acceptance. “Life is a journey, not a destination,” Charlotte says. “As your therapist, I’ll walk with you on this path – emphasizing self-love, compassion, and acceptance.”

With Charlotte, you’re not just working toward feeling better. You’re building the self-awareness, the tools, and the inner foundation to live more fully and freely as yourself.

Outside the therapy room, Charlotte is a film buff who studied film and television production in college and worked as a wedding videographer. She also dreams of trying her hand at professional comedy writing – proof that curiosity and creativity have a place in every kind of healing.
